The MOST overlooked and underrated biz strategy

I know these next few days are blocked off for most of us, so I don’t want to add to your plate.

I just want to pose a simple question for you to reflect on during this downtime…

Are you letting this job mold you into someone you’re not?

Let me dig a little deeper.

It’s really easy to fall into these pre-made molds of what a Loan Officer should be. Especially if you’re coming from a not-so-traditional background.

I’ve talked to so many vets, nurses, and ex-teachers who completely eliminate their past lives from their current one.

That’s a BIG miss in my book.

Your background could help you dominate that specific audience because you can relate to them.

Your unique past isn't a liability – it's your superpower.

And it works for you even when you’re not dealing with a client from your niched audience – think about it…

Your past tells a story. One where you were once in your client's shoes, uncertain and seeking guidance.

It transforms you from just another "deal-first" MLO in their inbox into someone who gets it.

My point is, focus less on outdoing your competition with all the same tactics every other professional is using…

Focus on being different.

It’s about using your unique qualities to find where YOU fit in all this…

Not the other way around. Not muting yourself to fit into a cookie cutter mold that really doesn’t serve you.

Standing out trumps blending in EVERY damn time.

That said – there are no action steps today.

But if you’re traveling, hosting, or just disconnecting to spend time with family today…

Try to take the time to reflect on who YOU are.

What YOU bring to the table.

Don’t let your imposter syndrome win in 2024.

Happy holidays!
